Drop-in Advice is inspired by the Morning Producers format, which has been very successful in London, where it was developed by ArtsAdmin—an institution with many similarities to UP.
For drop-in advice, UP's team or other experts are available for professional sparring and dialogue in the Green Room from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We will make sure there is plenty of coffee.
The format is open, and the drop-in advice sessions last approximately 20 minutes with each advisor. You can bring your specific challenges or questions and be matched with the right advisor. Every first Wednesday of the month, these advisors will be available:
- Ann-Jette Caron, development producer at UP and an experienced producer in the independent field
- Mathias Schønberg, communications manager for UP with a master's degree in rhetoric and extensive experience in PR
- Often an external advisor with special experience
From time to time, we may choose a focus area, such as co-productions, internationalisation, or fundraising.
After the drop-in advice session, we have lunch in the Green Room with everyone in the building. You are welcome to join us.
You can request an appointment via this link: https://forms.gle/oM6D5L3DzmNH...
We will notify you and confirm your appointment afterwards.
At the last drop-in-advice on October 7, we had Marie Viltoft Polli as an external advisor.
Marie Viltoft Polli is an experienced producer, project manager, curator, and tour booker. She has worked at Metropolis, PASSAGEfestival, CPH Stage, and Det Frie Felts Festival, among others, and has a strong festival network both in Denmark and internationally. Marie knows the Danish touring market from the inside as a programmer at a touring network venue and can advise on specific questions if you are new to or unsure about the Danish touring market.

At Drop-in Advice, someone from UP's competent team is always available to provide professional guidance and advice.
You can help assess which member of the UP team may be relevant to your issue. Our producer Ann-Jette and our communications manager Mathias are available at Drop-in Advice.
We can advise on:
Fundraising opportunities and strategies
Project management and development
Entrepreneurship and business models
International exchange and networking
Touring
Communication and PR
Unfortunately, we cannot advise on:
Content for applications to the Danish Arts Foundation and private foundations
Legal matters
HR-related questions
Very specific budget questions
Please note: We cannot help you with, for example, creating your specific budget or similar, as this is only a brief consultation and UP cannot therefore take responsibility for any consequences of, for example, a budget.
Please note that there may be a waiting time – during which you are welcome to sit and work in the room.
If you live too remote from UP to attend in person, you can participate via Zoom. However, we encourage everyone who is able to attend in person to do so.
When you log on to Zoom, you will be greeted by a UP employee who will arrange a specific time between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for your online counseling session
