Together with UP's colleagues in HAUT, fix+foxy, Sort/Hvid and Toaster, we are moving the performing arts and performance art field into Thoravej 29.
Through new coordinated efforts, we will together lift the independent performing arts field. Each organisation will contribute with its own professional content to a varied range of activities in the new premises at Thoravej 29.– This is how Thoravej 29 is described, which in 2025 will open its doors to a new professional community and meeting place for innovative people, groups and organisations working with democracy, social and digital innovation, sustainability, politics and art.
The Bikuben Foundation has selected the partners for the contribution of the performing arts at Thoravej 29 and makes the collaboration possible. Read more at the Bikuben Foundation about the background for the selection and the ideas behind the collaboration.Head of UP, Anne Dalby, says about the new collaboration:
Initially running from 2025-27, the programme will consist of a wide range of residencies focusing on everything from artistic development to entrepreneurship and innovation programmes. These residencies are offered by:
- UP - The Development Platform for Performing Arts
- HAUT
- Sort/Hvid
- fix+foxy
- Toaster
While our colleagues in the project offer courses that reflect their expertise, methods and focus, UP will offer a course in strategic development of business models and innovation for performing artists.
Such a focus, we at UP believe, can help strengthen the independent performing arts' visions, ambitions, self-understanding and role in society as relevant and valuable.
At UP, we look forward to announcing the first open calls in early January, and we encourage everyone to follow our partners' many exciting offers.
