The programme for season 2025/26 is now ready – see the upcoming performances in KSelekt
The Danish Arts Foundation and The Royal Danish Theatre continue their collaboration on KSelekt at Skuespilhuset's Lille Scene and present a wide range of independent performing arts in 2025/26. The season features, among other things, love, robots and mothers at war.
The Danish Arts Foundation and The Royal Danish Theatre once again present a series of experimental independent performances at Skuespilhuset's small stage. The upcoming season offers five selected works with a wide range of artistic expressions from theatre and dance to puppetry and poetic performance art.
KSelekt provides an insight into the free and experimental performing arts as seen on the country's smaller stages and alternative venues. It is clear that the independent performing arts reflect the big issues of our time, such as war, love, waste, technology and humanity.

The Song of Oda and Anton is a touching tale of a young and impulsive love that spans 60 years through joy and pain. The Reumert Award-winning theatre production is about finding the courage to put your life and heart in someone else's hands, about dancing your way through bubbling joy and finding your way through the deepest sorrow. Tabt Titel – by Moribund

Photo: Franco Adams
Tabt Titel - a cycle of testimonies about waste is a performance work in which artist Sara Hamming leafs through the book Tabt Titel, while a video performance recorded in the ruins of Børsen runs in the background. The book has been lost and picked up again and again. It hides notes written in pencil on top of research in waste management as well as traces of hair and cake. We must associate with the waste to repair the constant trauma of destruction. It needs to be repaired, picked up and named again and again.
Performance: Sara Hamming

SIMILI – by AVA

Photo: Anders Nydam
SIMILI is a hypersensory universe where a dancer and a puppeteer explore the balance of power between humans and technology. The performance invites the audience into an abstract emotional landscape with both glittering and dark sides of dance, animated objects and sensory theatre.

Mother Soldier – by Datterselskabet

Photo: Julia Severinsen
Mother Soldier is a musical performance about motherhood and war. Mother Soldier stems from historical and personal experiences of becoming a mother in a world of war – but what kind of warrior is a mother? What does her battle look like and what weapons will she use? The three uniformed percussionists Irene Bianco, Marta Soggetti, and Sara Nigard Rosendal deliver military precision on drums, cymbals, and singing bowls, leading the audience through combat and waiting, doubt, grief and care.

trembl – by Ar Utke Ács / Dance Cooperative

trembl is a dance performance that portrays the experience of time from the perspective of a chronic illness. The performance asks the question: What does time look like if we stretch it in time with a body outside the norm? The performance works with the concept of ‘crip time’, which originates from disability queer theory and describes the way disabled people are ‘out of time’ with the pace dictated by societal norms. A time that navigates through grief, pleasure, reflections and science fiction.
Dance, concept and choreography: Ar Utke Ács
Producer and accessibility work: Mariana Suikkanen Gomes
Co-production: MDT (SE)
