On October 23, Dansk Scenekunst will share insights into the performing arts reform process and answer your questions in a webinar together with UP.
The proposed budget, with DKK 60 million annually in permanent funds to reform the performing arts sector, has generated great enthusiasm in the industry. According to the government, the funds will ensure that the performing arts reach a wider audience while also clearing up outdated legislation and bureaucracy.
Over the past two years, Dansk Scenekunst has driven the reform work through open dialogue meetings and has presented the Minister of Culture with the industry's most important priorities:
- Sustainable production and working conditions
- Development of regional theaters and small metropolitan theaters
- More children and young people should be exposed to the performing arts
- More opportunities for independent groups and companies
- Strengthened management and board
- Improved quality of touring

The reform could have a major impact on independent groups and companies, and expectations are high – but there are also many questions. How will the funds be distributed? Which structures will be changed, and when will we see the effects?
You can hear much more about this at UP's webinar, where Dansk Scenekunst will share insights into the process, set out the most important benchmarks, and answer your questions.
