Next show in KSelekt

The next show in the series is the music and dance performance LIEBE (‘Love’), based on Getting Lost by Annie Ernaux.

In this performance, toaspern|moeller explores the many states of being in love - from illusory harmony to desperate dissonance. When does infatuation become infatuation? Physical desire to obsession? And when does the unattainability of the other become a source of self-destruction?

2.-8. DECEMBER in The Royal Playhose, Small Stage

- Experience LIEBE, which continues the performance series KSelekt after the beautiful experience with CORRELATIONS – MEETINGS IN THE MULTIVERSE.

Diary entries by Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux merge with choreography and song in a virtuoso performance that explores a desire born of distance.

For the first time, dancer and choreographer Alma Toaspern and singer and composer Mathias Monrad Møller are on stage together, singing and dancing their way through a poetic set design by acclaimed set designer Christian Friedländer.

Toaspern|moeller's innovative performance, combining contemporary dance with experimental music, illuminates the tension between mutual feelings and the desire born from the fact that the other is different from oneself. From heterosexual clichés to the touching, scary and comical.

LIEBE is a production by toaspern|moeller and is co-produced by LOFFT -DAS THEATER Leipzig, and Ballet Basel. The production is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, Augustinusfonden, Knud Højgaards Fond, Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen and Stadt Leipzig - Kulturamt.

Panel debate supported by the Bikuben Foundation before the performance on 3 December, 16:30 - 18:00, Lille Scene.
