Overview: UP's activities in 2026

Her er et foreløbigt overblik over de aktiviteter, UP tilbyder i 2026

In 2026, there will be a wide range of activities that you, as a professional performing artist or producer in the independent field, can participate in. Here you can see what we have already planned – more will be added, so stay up to date via UP's newsletter.
UP works throughout the year to be proactive and engage in dialogue with the field where it unfolds. This means that you can also meet us at events, visits, and knowledge-sharing activities around the country and through collaborations with other actors and projects. At the same time, the house in Baldersgade in Copenhagen will continue to be a platform for dialogue meetings, professional conversations, and development.

Tid i Rum [Time in Space]

Get time and space for your artistic development work with a week's free access to UP's rehearsal rooms on Baldersgade.

In the artistic development program Time in Space, you or your group can try out techniques or develop artistic ideas. You get a week of free access to one of UP's rehearsal rooms, The Pit or White Lab, with a focus on artistic development and no requirement for results.

Time in Space is offered via open call 1-2 times a year.

Strengthen your work with applications to the Danish Arts Foundation

In March and April, UP, together with Jens Christian Jensen from JC Copenhagen, invites you to two workshops on applications to the Danish Arts Foundation, where you will gain knowledge and insight into working with both operating and project applications.

We will not be working on writing your specific application, but rather on qualifying your choices and approaches in the process.

On March 11, there will be a workshop at UP on operating grants.

On April 29, there will be a workshop at UP on project grants.

Registration opens on February 4.

Focus on producers

UP's one-year mentoring program gives you the opportunity to turbocharge your professional development as a producer. For a whole year, you will receive feedback and perspective on your professional practice, regardless of where you are in your career. During 2026, UP will further explore and develop our focus on producers in the independent field. Stay tuned to see how this takes shape.

New tools for successful co-production

In 2026, you can look forward to having new tools at your disposal when entering into a co-production with a theater or other cultural institution. UP is currently working with Dansk Scenekunst to develop a contract template and checklist for co-productions. This is based on a dialogue meeting last year between institutions and actors in the independent field, as well as subsequent extensive research.
