“Rich in content” is certainly an apt description of the Moving Perspectives symposium, which filled the entire UP venue with life and meaningful conversations over the course of two days. The program featured a wealth of talks and speeches, performances, and thought-provoking segments that sparked thoughts and emotions—and that were embraced, cherished, and held dear.
Moving Perspectives marked the conclusion of three years of European collaboration within Moving Identities. A collaboration comprising a total of over 50 artistic residencies across seven countries, where performing artists—including those from Denmark—have had the opportunity to establish international networks and work with themes of representation and European identity.
Throughout the project, the participating institutions have actively used the artists’ statements, work-sharing sessions, and evaluations as key contributions to implementing new initiatives and driving structural changes for better representation and more sustainable independent performing arts in Europe. – A project that is by no means over now, given everything we’ve gained from Moving Perspectives.
